Newastro Software ProductsDeBloomer | Gradient Removal | Automapper II | One-shot Color Flat Maker | CalGroups
Note: You must have your own copy of CCDSoft or MaxIm DL to use this program. DeBloomer is plug-in for CCDSoft and MaxIm DL that removes blooming from your images.
It contains both automatic and manual tools that remove blooms and leave
stars nice and round. You can now download it and try it for free for 30 days to see how you like it. DeBloomer Links
Note: You must have your own copy of CCDSoft or MaxIm DL to use this program. The Gradient Removal plug-in works with both CCDSoft and MaxIm DL. It removes both linear and radial gradients.
The linear gradient removal feature uses calculations designed to match the types of gradients you encounter
from light pollution, moonlight, and other typical nighttime sources. Radial gradient removal is useful for those times when you don't have a flat handy. Gradient Removal Plug-in Links
Note: You must have your own copy of CCDSoft, TPoint, and TheSky to use this program. Automapper works with TheSky, CCDSoft, and TPoint to automate the process of mapping points. Mapping points refers to the process of moving the telescope around the sky and measuring how far off your pointing is. TPoint uses this information to build a model of your telescopes pointing errors. TPoint and TheSky then work together to correct for pointing errors. Automapper II Links
Note: You must have your own copy of CCDSoft and/or MaxIm DL to use this program. The One-shot color Flat Maker Plug-In works with CCDSoft or MaxIm DL to turn raw flats into normalized flats. With one-shot color cameras, the image is encoded in what is called a Bayer pattern. This raw format cannot be used as a flat. Currently, the only way to make a flat is to smooth the image, which introduces small errors into the flat. Using this plug-in, the color data is normalized and turned into a real flat that is highly accurate. If you are using a one-shot color camera, you need this plug-in! One-shot color Flat Maker Links
This new program allows you to create, save, and re-use named calibration groups when working with MaxIm DL. CalGroups will also perform batch processes, and align/combine groups of images. Just point CalGroups to the folder of images, and set calibration, processing, and combine options. With CalGroups software, you create named calibration groups with bias/flat/dark frames. You can recall the group any time you need it to reuse or make changes. You can also define processing steps - remove hot pixels, sharpen, remove gradient, etc. - and CalGroups will automatically apply these steps to each image it calibrates. Most MaxIm DL processing features are available for batch processing.
