| This image was
made with an ST-7E and a simple filter box into which I inserted gelatin
filters manually. The color balance is off -- and I forgot to use my IR
Blocking filter! -- but this does serve as proof of concept.
Seeing conditions were clear with the 65% moon just rising. However, there was a 10 mph variable surface wind, and some clouds and fast-moving winds aloft, so seeing was pretty turbulent. Guiding was somewhat chaotic as a result of the turbulence. |
